A safer city. A stronger future. A government that answers to you.
Safe. Accountable. Healthy. Growing.
Harvey is where my story began, from being born at Ingalls Hospital to growing up on Lexington Avenue, known to us as “LEX.” This community shaped the woman and public servant I am today. My commitment to Harvey is personal, but my vision is practical: safer neighborhoods, opportunities for residents and a government that follows through.
My work as Second Ward Alderwoman has reinforced an important lesson: residents need more than a promise. They need to know who is responsible, what action is being taken and when they can expect an update. My vision connects that everyday accountability with the long-term work of strengthening our city.
Four Pillars
Pillar 1
Safe Harvey
Safety begins with dependable police, fire and emergency services, but it does not end there. It includes secure vacant properties, safe housing, functioning streetlights, reliable water infrastructure and neighborhoods that receive consistent maintenance.
I will work with the City Council, department leaders and community partners to strengthen emergency readiness, support prevention and youth opportunities, and make the handling of neighborhood concerns more transparent. Residents should be able to report a concern, understand the next step and receive a meaningful update, even when a repair or project takes time.
Growth should create opportunity for the people who already call Harvey home, supporting existing businesses, connecting residents with employment and training, expanding opportunities for young people, and encouraging quality housing and rehabilitation.
I support responsible investment. Before major development decisions, residents deserve understandable information about the proposal’s effects on nearby homes, traffic, infrastructure and public services. When public incentives are requested, the community should understand the expected benefits, costs and commitments.
Accountability means more than publishing a budget. It means explaining spending, documenting decisions, responding to audit concerns and reporting whether plans are on track.
I will advocate for plain-language financial updates, regular comparisons of budgeted and actual results, clear project reporting and accessible opportunities for residents to participate.
A healthy Harvey means residents can connect with care, find support and live in neighborhoods that support their well-being.
I will work with the City Council, healthcare providers, public health agencies and community organizations to bring health and wellness resources closer to residents. By strengthening partnerships and improving outreach, we can help families, seniors, young people and caregivers understand what support is available and how to access it.
